Ahhh! These are perfect. Could it get any better than a red & white striped cotton/linen blend? Nope, it can't. I've been a bit obsessed with suspender shorts and skirts lately, but I don't know if I could pull it off. I think I need to just sew something up and get it out of my system, as it were. :D
Those are sweet! My mom bought me something similar in the late 1980s, in solid red, which I wore to school with a pair of cute Louis-heel bow-topped shoes like Ruby's. I got called Minnie Mouse right & left. I've seen the 80s version on etsy a lot, but never the vintage original!
lord knows I love to offer up the sartorial s & m! LOL! I would not be able to fit one of my thighs into these beauties, and even if I could I would NOT look like Ruby Keeler (or Minnie....what an adorable story, 1930s Girls!!!) but oh boy are they EVER sweet! aramblingfancy, you should TOTALLY make these!
I just came across a bicycle blog with a picture of Marilyn Monroe in suspender shorts - look how adorable! http://ridingpretty.blogspot.com/2010/06/marilyn-monroe-on-bicycle-looking-so.html
Oh wow, these are just the coolest shorts ever, I want some!!
