Time for a Weekend Blog-o-cation

Turns out I'm heading out of town for a few days to visit my in laws, so I shall be back online on Monday!  I hope to come back refreshed and recharged, after a few days of lunching outdoors, walking in the woods, and relaxing lake or poolside (the inlaws have a nice above ground pool and hot tub. Yippee!) Hope you have a fabulous weekend, too! xoxo

  6. Baroness,

Thank you 1 million times for your thoughtful and cogent response. That's all I wanted to hear, really. I appreciate the time that you spent -- means a lot to me.

Meantime, have a relaxing and peaceful getaway. That sounds like a lovely time and I am certain that such will be a good reboot (ewww, computer metaphors are so 90's) for your mind and soul.

    Best regards,
    Darlene

  7. This picnic scene is so cute! And I agree, Rachel Weisz and Lily Elsie look as if they could be related!

  8. I can't figure out how to send you an email rather than commenting on a post, but anyway...

You've probably seen this website already, but I came across a collection of gorgeous 1930s colour (!) photographs and as I was admiring them I kept thinking of you and your blog. Candid snapshots, 'real world' hairstyles and even feedsack dresses feature! Hope you enjoy looking at them, and have a nice weekend with your in-laws.
