Tea for Two, Two For Tea

Hope everyone has been having a lovely Easter weekend!  Mine has been just wonderful!  Yesterday, my mother and I went for a lovely Easter high tea at the quaint Tea at the White House here in town.  Such a nice time!  Not only were the sandwiches, scones, and sweets marvellous, but as an Easter prezzie, my mom bought me a gorgeous Royal Albert tea cup and saucer from their little gift area.  Apparently, to celebrate its centennial, Royal Albert issued a series of patterns, one for each decade.  My tea cup and saucer are the 1950s design (they were sold out of all the others).  All in all, a splendid day!

Outfit deets: 1930s feedsack dress; 1930s hat; 1930s crocheted purse; 1930s shoes; 1930s bangle....coral lipstick from my blog pal Miss Matilda

  9. We definitely DID have a wonderful time!!!

Hi, Mary Deluxe!! Re: the purse: no peacocks on the handle, just some slightly art nouveau scrolls on it (I think ladies could buy different handles to attach their knitted or crocheted purses to, so each one might be different??)

Miss M, you'll be first to know if I find another! I DID almost buy a black one at the vintage fair last month, but ran out of cash and the bank machine at the show short circuited. Will still keep eyes peeled for sure!!
