Tea with the Vintage Baroness & Matt Deckard
In an effort to help foster the vintage community in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), I would like to invite interested parties to afternoon tea at the historical Windsor Arms Hotel at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22nd, 2012 (high tea or afternoon tea service options available...high tea ordered in advance). This event is co-hosted by Matt Deckard, of Matt Deckard Apparel and the Fedora Lounge. As we would ideally like to give the Windsor Arms staff a fairly accurate sense of the number of people attending this event, and groups of 10 or more must pre-book tables, please let me know if you are coming ahead of the event. RSVPs sent through my etsy shop, Adeline's Attic Vintage, by January 15th, 2012, would be greatly appreciated. If you prefer email, leave your addy in the comments section and I'll email you shortly. As for dress code, vintage or vintage-inspired attire is not required, but always much admired ;)

I've often thought that if I lived in England I'd be going to those 1940s events but I've never found anything like that here. So you can imagine how excited I was to see your post!
I just checked an online map and I could be there in just over an hour and a half! I have something else in my calendar for that date but I'm going to see if I can change that so yes, I'm going to try to be there.
And I'm glad you don't have to dress vintage. I love the era but don't dress the era ... yet! ;D

It looks like Alex Pangman, Canada's Sweetheart of Swing (www.alexpangman.com) and Jonathan Bright, fedora wearing frontman of the Reckless Coalition (www.jonathanbright.ca), might be coming (working on them hehe). For now, we're all going to meet outside the tea room at about 12:45 or so? If you arrive at 1 PM, we may be seated already, so look for us? If we get to 10 in number, we may be in a different room (I'll have to do a special booking).
