Alma the Fashion Plate

So, I'm hosting my in-laws for a few days, and my mother-in-law showed me a picture of her older sister, Alma (the lovely gal below, second from right).  Apparently, in her younger days, Alma was quite  a clotheshorse (a girl after my own heart); to this day, she supposedly still has a meticulous collection of all her clothes, hats, and shoes, like the drool-worthy ensemble below, no doubt.  One day, I know I would love to sit down with her and have her tell me all about her precious items and the memories they evoke!

  3. How did they do it? Women of that era, they beat the majority of us hands down in terms of looking well groomed and stylish. Perhaps they spent less time on the internet *giggle*

  4. GlamorousGirl, Fanny Pinkleton: So true! These gals were the epitome of easy glamour!

Penny: I will definitely keep you all posted if/when I get access to this collection. The truth is, Alma lost her husband just over a year ago and has been having a hard time going through the piles of storage items she has saved in her house. She's mentioned eventually wanting me to have her collection for my shop, but is clearly not emotionally ready yet, so we're just not pushing the issue right now. ONe day!!!!
